Because critique is maybe the best way to improve.
I guess some people don't know where or how to start, so I tried to write down some questions. Should work for all the different kinds of art.
(Feel free to correct grammar-/spelling-mistakes. English isn't my first language. Also I don't know how to call it other than "challenge". Suggestions are welcome. Oh, and if you repost, could you credit me? c: )
Pick one or multiple pieces of my work and write a critique.
Part1
1. What's the first thing which draws your attention? First general impression? Any associations? (How could the depicted scene continue?)
2. Does the picture/text/photo/work inflict emotions? If yes, which ones?
3. Is there anything which doesn't fit in? How would you change it? (Think as well about technical stuff like colour, composition, anatomy, syntax, etc.)
4. Do you particularly like or dislike something about the picture/text/photo/work?
Part2 (optional)
Take a close look at the picture under the following aspects: concept/subject, colour/writing-style, composition, technique
Do the last three points support the concept or contradict it?
How do you see my older in comparison to my newer work? What changed in a positive and what in a negative way?
Do you see any connection between my work and
- another artist when it comes to the drawing/writing-style?
- other work considering the general concept?
- something I haven't mentioned, but you instantly had to think of?
Which technique is my strongest?
